DENMARK: DEPARTMENT STORE TO BECOME A HOTEL

Article Abstract:

TK Development, the Danish property developer, has acquired the former department store Daells Varehus in Copenhagen. The plan is to transform the building into a luxury hotel, totaling 350 rooms, and three major stores to be leased out to a sports equipment chain, an audio/video chain and a clothing chain respectively. The hotel will be operated by First Hospitality. There are still negotiations going on about the leaseholders of the stores.

DENMARK: HOTEL INVESTMENT AT VESTERPORT STATION

Article Abstract:

There are negotiations going on about the construction of two large hotels at Vesterport Station, Copenhagen. Behind the plan is the Norwegian chain Choice, which wishes to build a luxury hotel and a tourist hotel over the railway tracks. No details about the project have been disclosed.

DENMARK: EXTENSION OF MARIBO HOTEL

Article Abstract:

According to plans Hotel Maribo Sopark in Maribo will be extended by two more floors. The number of rooms will increase by 40 to 103. Furthermore, the elevator will be placed outside the building. The construction work is expected to be finished in April 2002.
