Article Abstract:
Danish Industry Minister Ole Stavad said at a seminar held over the weekend with Futurecamp that the government is to make major efforts to put into practice the proposals generated during the seminar as regards promoting Denmark's position as the leading IT nation in the world. These efforts stem from the Danish Prime Minister's vision of making Denmark the leading IT nation in the world. Futurecamp is the brainchild of two former Framfab members Tim Frank Andersen and Clause Bindslev. The Futurecamp seminar generated 21 proposals and they include among other things promoting co-operation between retired corporate people and students to develop new ideas and products. Another effort includes "Danish Brainware" i.e. promoting Denmark as the leading IT nation and thirdly, "Operation Network" i.e. young people helping elderly people with IT matters.

The Danish Competition Authority is to examine the building materials sector to find out whether the companies in the sector have signed deals that limit competition. The review was prompted by Berlingske Tidende's disclosures about deals between producers and do-it-yourself stores that caused prices of building materials to rise.

Article Abstract:
The construction sector is so busy that delivery times have doubled for some materials such as concrete. Recently, this has lead to increased co-operation between contractors and the suppliers of building materials. As suppliers are involved from the beginning of a construction project, the whole process becomes more effective.
