Article Abstract:

Plans to extend London Underground's Jubilee transit line were dashed when Olympia and York, who was to be a major contributor, went broke. The government is trying to find another investor for Jubilee, which is vital to the future of Docklands, a huge urban development project.

Chunnel, chunnel, toil and trouble: Eurotunnel

Article Abstract:

The daily interest alone on Eurotunnel's massive debt is two million pounds sterling. The English Channel Tunnel, however is expected to begin service at the end of 1992. The delay of its own shuttle service will add another 360 pounds sterling to the company's debt.
