Taiwan stands up

Article Abstract:

The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has won elections in Taiwan, and Chen Shui-bian has been elected president. The Kuomintang has lost the elections after 50 years rule, and the party may not even survive. The DPP's campaign was focused on the need to end corruption, and Chen Shui-bian may be prgmatic on the issue of relations with China.
