The British Broadcasting Co (BBC) is facing a period of change as it prepares for its license renewal in 1996. Satellite and cable television are changing the ways in which Britain watches television, and it remains to be seen if the BBC is up to the challenge.

Article Abstract:

Television broadcasting will become more competitive in Britain as a result of deregulation and technology such as satellite communications. British Broadcasting Corporation Ltd and other major broadcasting companies will lose a large audience share.
