Super citizen

Article Abstract:

Taiwanese film director Wan Jen has gained a reputation for creating an identity for the poor and marginalized in society. However, his films have always been market-oriented, and he has used Taiwan's mainstream studios. His most recent films are designed to have broad appeal, rather than being produced just for intellectuals and emigres. He has been able to set up his own independent concern, Wan Jen Films, which produced 'Supercitizen Ko' as its first film in 1995.

Article Abstract:

China's effort to cool down its economy, announced by economic leader Zhu Rongji in Jul 1993, has achieved a mixed success. However, several underlying economic problems persist, including inflation, capital flight and a trade deficit.
