Article Abstract:

Stephen Covey is a practising Mormon and one of the world's best-known management gurus, with his management training company achieving a revenue of $70 million in 1994. He began his career as a business studies teacher at Brigham Young University, where his classes on character-building became so popular that he began giving public lectures. He established the Covey Leadership Center in 1985, since when his seven self-improvement habits have helped motivate many powerful people.

Switzerland: splendid isolation?

Article Abstract:

Switzerland enjoys the highest standard of living in the world, and holds fifth place in the global competitiveness league, even though labour costs are very high. Isolation from the European Union and the European Economic Area does not seem to be damaging the country's economy at all. However, some economists and industrialists fear that closer links with the European Union must be established if the economy is to continue to thrive.
