British Airways loss tied to strike talk

British Airways PLC posted a net loss of 128 mil pounds in the fiscal quarter ended March 31, partly due to strike threats in January which prompted passengers to cancel their flights. Sales fell by 6%. Implications of the American-European Union "open skies" treaty are discussed.
