Baffler keeps birds away from trawls

Article Abstract:

Brady Bird Baffler invented by New Zealand's Ministry of Fisheries observer, Keith Brady, comprising orange plastic cylinders suspended at intervals along arms mounted on the sides of a ships stern is one of the strategy which is going to reduce seabird by-catch. The offal management strategies will enable the trawlers to have lesser and lesser by-catch of seabirds, which will enable to reduce seabird mortality.
