Anger in China

Article Abstract:

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has bombed the Chinese embassy in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, and this has had a number of serious consequences. They include damage to US-Chinese relations, hindering efforts to seek peace in Yugoslavia, and damaging the credibility of NATO. China is right to seek explanations and an apology, but is not justified in refusing to help find a diplomatic solution to the conflict until the bombing ends. China should play a wider role in international affairs.
