Airbus Industrie gets advance order from Emirates Airlines for A3XX

Airbus Industries has received a $12 billion (13.2 billion euros) contract from Emirates Airlines for ten A3XX superjumbo jets. Emirates becomes the first carrier to commit to the new aircraft.

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus Industries has received orders for its new A3XX superjumbo jet aicraft. French national carrier Air France, United Arab Emirates carrier Emirates Airlines and nine other airlines have ordered a total of 52 A3XXs.

Airbus Superjumbo clears hurdle with Qantas order

Quantas Airways has ordered 12 A3XX superjumbo jets from Airbus Industrie. The company now has 44 orders for the jet which will be the world's largest passenger plane with seating for 555 to 650 passengers.
