The Austrian Salzburg-based company EMTS Technologie AG is to go public on the SWX Swiss Exchange in order to raise funds for expanding throughout Europe. The company is providing after-sales services in the field of mobile phones at 17 locations in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Norway. With 352 staff, it offers services ranging from guarantee handling and repair to spare part and recycling logistics. In 1999 it generated a net profit of EUR 1.5mn on a turnover of EUR 35.3mn.

AUSTRIA: EMTS TO EXPAND ABROAD

The Austrian Salzburg-based company EMTS Technologie AG, which claims to be the market leader for after-sales service for mobile phones in Austria, Switzerland and Scandinavia, is to enter the Italian and Spanish markets in 2001 and France and the UK in 2002. The company has also a branch in Estonia. In the first three months of the current financial year EMTS almost reached the full-year targets of an ebitda of EUR 12.9mn and turnover of EUR 72.7mn.
