Article Abstract:
Canadian radio companies believe that a national radio talk show is feasible and that major players in the industry could bring one out soon. One of the reasons cited is the immense popularity of all-talk radio stations, which, in the past five or six years, have emerged in all major Canadian cities. These stations, instead of those that offer music, are the ones considered to provide an ideal platform for a national talk show. A syndicator, Jean-Marie Heimrath, says a national talk show may be the natural next progression of the all-talk format.
