3i, Vantec Managers join forces to buy stake from Nissan

Article Abstract:

Nissan Motor Co. is selling its controlling share in Vantec Corp. to 3i PLC and to the unit's managers. The 67% share will be sold for approximately $128 million (134.4 million euros).

GM might soon buy assets

Article Abstract:

General Motors Corp. is preparing to pay $400 million in cash for many of the assets of Daewoo Motor Co. Daewoo's creditors would pay $200 million for a one-third stake. General Motors apparently will not buy Daewoo's largest plant, but could buy output from that plant to market in Asia, Europe and the US.
