Article Abstract:
Retailing and media group Fininvest has sold a 20% share in Mediaset, television holdings and advertising sales company for $1.14 billion. The sale has been made to ease the former's debt pressures. Two more sell-offs are planned for October 1995 and 1996, leaving Fininvest with a holding of only 35-40%. The sell-off has not affected owner Silvio Berlusconi's media ownership problems.
