According to the American company Lehman Brothers the Danish telecommunications company Tele Danmark has a higher value than expected. Lehman Brothers values Tele Danmark's international investments to 33 billion DKr (US$ 4.85 billion) and they are of the opinion that a stock quote of 800 DKr per share is a realistic goal. If this is correct Tele Danmark will have a value of 86.6 billion DKr, which is 10 billion DKr more than today's value. Tele Danmarks assets are, according to Lehman Brothers, divided as follows; mobile phone network - 17 percent, ordinary telephony network - 46 percent, international investments - 34 percent, cable and satellites - 3 percent.

Danish Tele Danmark has no plans to introduce their German subsidiary Talkline to the stock exchange. There have been a lot of speculations about Talkline, the company is performing very well in the German market and analysts have anticipated an introduction to the stock exchange. Talkline today have 1.5 million phonelines in the ordinary net in Germany and 820,000 mobile phone customers in Germany, Holland, Belgium and France where they operate as service providers. Talkline also expect to have 100,000 Internet-customers by the end of 1998.

Telenordia, the Swedish subsidiary of British Telecom, Tele Danmark and Telenor, is successful and will further expand. At a press conference, held by British Telecom in London, the plans were presented. The goal is to reach a 8% share of the Swedish telecoms market. In 2001, turnover is expected to reach SEK 2.6bn (USD 0.33bn), and break-even is likely to be reached by the year 2000. This year, the number of subscribers, primarily of Internet services, is expected to increase by 100,000 to 250,000.
