Many small and mid-size businesses are benefiting from increasingly open trade with Latin American countries. Due to the increasing commitment to free trade among Latin American countries, US exports to Latin America increased 17% in 1991.

NAFTA: growth opportunity for small business

The NAFTA would benefit small businesses in a variety of ways. For example, it would enable small US firms to operate in Mexico with greater ease and at less expense. Additional advantages of the NAFTA for small businesses are discussed.
