Theorizing TQM: an Austrian and evolutionary economics interpretation

This article discusses the continuing development of total quality management (TQM) theory. The authors maintain TQM has been an ambiguous concept and help contribute to the evolving theory by employing market process economics (Austrian and evolutionary economics) which includes the principles of customer focus, continuous improvement, and teamwork.

The dynamics of delayering: changing management structures in three countries
Article Abstract:
Reduction of layers of management is studied in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Australia and South Africa experienced a loss of commitment, while New Zealand showed differences. A model for delayering is suggested.
