Article Abstract:

The rising iron ore prices over the last couple of years, and the implications thereof for steel industry in Australia are discussed. Iron ore prices increased by as much as 20% in 2004. In 2005, the prices were hiked by almost 71.5%. In the present year, increase of 15 to 20% in iron ore prices is not ruled out.
