Sales and profit margins have been optimistic for big retailers. However, the story on the other side, the suppliers, remains totally different. Suppliers have been gloomy and have also predicted to see a down surge in their financial margins in the coming years. The reasons cited for this fall, is due their inability to pass on prices to retailers, growth of supermarket private labels, supply chain strategies of retailers, etc.
