Revlon Inc. will launch a new version of its popular 1970s perfume Charlie in the United Kingdom. The company also plans a re-launch of the perfume in the US in 2002 to coincide with Revlon's 70th anniversary. The UK ad campaign will be designed by the London office of Portland, OR-based ad agency Wieden and Kennedy. The ad campaign will target the UK's 11-18-year-olds. The perfume, associated in the US with the 1970s and that era's 'liberated woman,' will be difficult to resurrect.
