DOGS AND CATS ARE THE FAVORITE PETS, WHILE BIRDS HAD THE GREATEST SALES GROWTH IN 1978, AND BIZARRE OR UNUSUAL PETS, SUCH AS TARANTULAS, ARE GROWING IN NUMBER.
