Saudi jet fighter sale announced by Bush

Article Abstract:

Pres Bush announced the approval of the sale of 72 F-15 fighter planes to Saudi Arabia on Sep 11, 1992. The $5 billion sale will save 40,000 jobs in the defense industry and generate an addition $4 billion in contracts for spare parts.

HDTV alliance announced

Article Abstract:

Three consortia announced on May 24, 1993, that they would cooperate in research efforts and develop a national standard for HDTV. The digital standard would lead to new interaction methods for customers.
