Article Abstract:
The ruling patterns of technology usage are characterized by examining technological investments among 202 manufacturers. The identified patterns imply that manufacturers have similar technological strategies. The use of advanced manufacturing technologies (AMTs) is also measured by developing scales, which are found to be reliable. Several existing hypotheses are also tested on the relationships between AMT investments and plant size, level of integration, industry, and performance.
