Veterinarian Scott Ivers founded the Cat Hotel because he has 7 cats and could not find a boarding facility he liked. The hotel offers spacious 'condos' and an exercise area with trees. Rooms go for $25-35 a day and Ivers is doing well enough to consider expanding or franchising his concept.

Casino Royale is a board game that recreates the excitement of Las Vegas through a variety of gambling games. The game is similar to Monopoly in that players purchase hotels and casinos, albeit in Las Vegas. Several actual casinos have expressed interest in merchandising the game.

Ending welfare as a state of mind

Article Abstract:

State and local chambers of commerce are helping to implement welfare reform through programs that aid welfare recipients in finding jobs. One ambitious initiative is the IndEx program in Tulsa, Ok, which has trained about 300 welfare recipients in employment skills.
