Judge rejects Microsoft consent decree

Article Abstract:

US District Judge Stanley Sporkin, in an unusual move, overturned a consent decree signed in Jul 1994, between the Justice Dept and Microsoft Corp. The judge ruled on Feb 14, 1995, that the consent decree did not adequately address Microsoft's anticompetitive activities.

Ex-communist chosen as next premier

Article Abstract:

The Polish coalition government has chosen Jozef Oleksy as the successor to Premier Waldemar Pawlak who resigned after being pressured to do so by Pres. Lech Walesa. Oleksy belongs to the Democratic Left Alliance, previously known as the Communist Party.
