Article Abstract:
The strategy implementation behavior of franchisees is investigated in the context of the franchisor-franchisee relationship. The interaction between implementation and performance is also examined. Results indicate that the financial performance of franchisees is linked to the implementation method used. Results also show that the interactions between power sources could influence franchisee performance and satisfaction levels. Analysis indicates that a proper match between implementation methods and desired outcomes is needed to ensure franchisee satisfaction.

Article Abstract:
Entrepreneurs enter into cooperative arrangements, the most popular of which are franchises, to reduce costs, speed up product development and remain competitive. However, disputes may arise due to opportunism or the pursuit of individual interests. It is shown that participative communication can improve the relationship between entrepreneurs and minimize the effects of opportunism on franchisee satisfaction and performance.
