Greek ex-premier acquitted in corruption case

Article Abstract:

Corruption charges against former Greek Premier Andreas Papandreou that led to his removal from office in 1989 were dismissed by a special 13-judge tribunal in Athens Jan 17, 1992. Two former ministers in the Papandreou government were convicted on the corruption charges.

Holocaust-denial publisher acquitted

Article Abstract:

Canada's Supreme Court overturned the conviction of publisher Ernst Zundel, who had claimed that the Holocaust had been fabricated. The Court held that Canada's false-news law was vague and that Zundel had the right to freedom of expression.

Miami officer acquitted in slaying retrial

Article Abstract:

Former police officer Lozano was acquitted of manslaughter in the shooting of African American males Clement Anthony Lloyd and Allan Blanchard. African Americans in Miami, FL, were angry with the verdict, but only sporadic violence erupted.
