A glimpse at US economy as of March 24, 2006 is presented. In particular, trends in housing, retail trade, manufacturing and non-manufacturing sector are discussed. The trends in exports, gross domestic product, interest rates, economic growth, and equity markets are also discussed. Based on these trends, the course that stock markets are likely to take is also predicted.

A brief review of the United States' economy and stock markets as of October 21, 2005, is furnished. Factors like Hurricane Katrina and inflation have affected the United States economy. Despite this, the United States stock markets are expected to remain northbound during the balance months in year and even in part of 2006.
