Article Abstract:

Stocks in the drugstore industry are expected to underperform the market in 1999 and the year 2000 as their timeliness rankings have fallen during the 3rd qtr of 1999. The industry should, however, benefit from changing demographic trends in the US and the increased use of the Internet in marketing efforts. These stocks are not timely for investors in 1999 and the year 2000 and caution must be used when making selections for the next three to five years.
