Changing tastes: The adoption of new food choices in post-reform China

Article Abstract:

The factors that influence the extent to which individuals are willing to change their traditional consumption patterns when new choices are offered are investigated based on a yearlong field study in Nanjinh, People's Republic of China. The results demonstrate that interplay of factors motivates consumers to resist or embrace new consumption choices.

Modeling privatization as a firm strategy in transition economies

Article Abstract:

State-owned enterprises (SOEs) privatization choice is often complicated by the unique characteristics of transition economies. The choice of whether and when to privatize is a function of the parameters and hence an optimal timing model for firm privatization is developed after considering important parameters.
