Balkan presidents reach Bosnia peace accord; NATO to keep peace in divided state

Article Abstract:

Leaders of Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina agreed to end the civil war that has plagued the region since 1991 on Nov 21, 1995. The agreement stipulates a division into a Serbian republic and a Muslim-Croat federation. The negotiations were arduous, and some believe peace will not last.

OAU 31st summit held in Ethiopia

Article Abstract:

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, was the host city for the annual OAU summit from Jun 26-28, 1995, and Ethiopian Pres Meles Zenawi chaired the meeting. The member nations failed to reach an agreement on the development of a regional rapid-reaction security force.
