The early-stage wool processor plants in Victoria, Australia is on the verge of closedown due to poor responses from customers and suppliers. The closure of Geelong Wool Combing (GWC) highlights this, Mr. Leigh Schmitt, GWC chief executive, stating that global conditions being the worst, in his 40 years in the wool industry, this viable industry should be baled out and survives even though conditions are challenging.
