A revenue management approach to demand management and order booking in assemble-to-order manufacturing

Article Abstract:

Revenue management ideas and strategies are used for assemble-to-order (ATO) manufacturing companies and models for making the most effective pricing and capacity decisions are discussed. Successful application of revenue management in ATO manufacturing requires the effective segregation of each product line by preferred customer status according to delivery speed, delivery reliability and capacity to adapt to change orders.
