Article Abstract:
The light-induced hyperphosphorylation of white collar (WC) proteins inhibits bindings of the large WC-1/WC-2 complexes (L-WCC) to the LREs. It is showed that, in vivo, due to its rapid hyperphorylation, L-WCC can only bind transiently to light response elements (LREs), indicating that WCC hyperphorylation is a critical process for photoadaptation.

Article Abstract:
The genetics and biology of the malignant dieses melanoma, drawn from expanding genomics information and lesson from development and genetically engineered mouse models are summarized. The presence of multiple pigmented lesions, including freckles and banal or clinically atypical moles and a strong family history for melanoma are associated with a quantitatively increased melanoma risk.
