The replicon of pSW800 from Pantoea stewartii

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the replicon of pSW800 from Pantoea stewartii. The DNA fragment containing this replicon has been cloned and characterized and the results indicate that this replicon contains repA and repB genes encoding the replication initiation protein and peptide respectively.

N-terminal truncations in the FhlA protein result in formate- and MoeA-independent expression of the hyc (formate hydrogenlyase) operon of Escherichia coli

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the Escherichia coli formate hydrogenase complex. The construction of the deletion derivatives extending to different lengths of the N-terminal domain of FhlA protein has been carried out in identifying the critical regions which are responsible for the effector-independence is reported.

Only one catalase, katG, is detectable in Rhizobium etli, and is encoded along with the regulator OxyR on a plasmid replicon

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on plasmid-borne Rhizobium etli katG gene encoding catalase-peroxidase KatG. The authors describe the cloning of this gene, and characterize its effect on oxygen stress resistance.
