Article Abstract:
There is still controversy over the existence of a common lymphoid progenitor that can give rise only to T or B cells and natural killer (NK) cells. It is reported that the Lin-IL-7R+Thy-1Sca-1super10c-Kitsuper10 population in adult mouse bone marrow, has a rapid lymphoid-restricted reconstitution capacity in vivo, although lacked myeloid differentiation potential in vivo or in vitro. This provides evidence for the existence of common lymphoid progenitors in early hematopoiesis.

Article Abstract:
A study was conducted on the enforced expression of Bcl-2 in monocytes to determine whether these Bcl-2-expressing monocytes undergo macrophage differentiation to reverse osteopetrosis in osteopetrotic mice. Results reveal that after subjects were exposed to Bcl-2 monocytes, their long bone osteopetrosis were significantly reversed. Furthermore, macrophage colony-stimulating factors are responsible for external and internal response to such differentiations.

Article Abstract:
The influence of Bcl-2 gene in the mediation of T lymphopoiesis in interleukin-7 receptor-deficient mice was investigated through introduction of Emicron-bcl-2 transgene in T lineage cells. Results have shown that Bcl-2 in T lineage cells mediate T cell functional maturation in IL-7 receptoralpha(super -l-). Furthermore, it is indicated that Emicro-bcl-2 transgene can induce thymocyte development in IL-7Ralpha receptor(super -l-).
