Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the ability of Listeria monocytogenes to tolerate alkaline and salt stress. The authors describe the use of the library of L. monocytogenes transposon insertion mutants to isolate mutants with decreased NaCl and alkaline tolerance, and report the identification of various mutants exhibiting less resistance to salt and alkaline stress.

Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on poly-beta-hydroxybutyrate. The ability of Azospirillum brasilense strain Sp7 and mutant strain to endure different environmental stress conditions has been investigated in order to understand the role of poly-beta-hydroxybutyrate in a free-living state and in proliferation and survival of Azospirillum brasilense spp.

Article Abstract:
The authors discus the study on stationary-phase-inducible sigma factor RpoS which regulates stress respones in Salmonella. They have examined the rpoS mutants' status in human clincal isolates, and have suggest that Salmonella serotype Typhimurium rpoS mutants are counterselective.
