Identification and manipulation of soil properties to improve the biological control performance of phenazine-producing Pseudomonas fluorescence

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Pseudomonas fluorescence 2-79RN (sub)10 which protects wheat against take-all disease. Results demonstrate that organic matter addition at rates typical of high-organic matter soils reduces biocontrol activity of P. fluorescence 2-79RN (sub)10.

Assessment of methods for detection of infectious Cryptosporidium oocysts and Giardia cysts in reclaimed effluents

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Cryptosporidium oocysts and Giardia cysts. The authors have investigated the occurrence of these cysts and oocysts in reclaimed effluents via the use of modified version of the Information Collection Rule method, and they report the results.

Analysis of the argK-tox gene cluster in nontoxigenic strains of Pseudomonas syringae pv. phaseolicola

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Pseudomonas syringae pv. phaseolicola isolates obtained from various bean fields in northwestern part of Spain. The authors demonstrate that these isolates do not produce phaseolotoxin.
