Article Abstract:
Patterns of population genetic variation of the two study species are used to address the levels of genetic variation of Chamaedorea elatior and of Chamaedorea tepejilote in a mountainous region. It indicates that this pattern is explained by low reproductive frequency among individuals and over years in Chamaedorea elatior and by reproductive dominance in Chamaedorea tepejilote.

Article Abstract:
Morgante and group reported the discovery that a vast majority of sequence diversity distinguishing two well-known maize lines is due to a class of transposable elements termed Helitrons. Sequencing of the maize genome would help understand whether Helitrons are active in maize genome or whether appropriate enzymatic activities for movement are still encoded by maize genome.

Article Abstract:
A research on the influence and the stress response of reciprocal effects on the phenotype of the progeny sporophyte in Zea mays L. is analyzed and it is determined that the plant population density resulted in the changes in the maternal effect, 'parent-of-origin' and cytoplasmic effects as the time passed.
