High incidence of proviral integrations in the Hoxa locus in a new model of E2a-PBX1-induced B-cell leukemia

Article Abstract:

A study is carried out on the generation of a pre-B leukemia model using E2a-PBX1 transgenic mice, which lack mature and precursor T-cells as a result of engineered loss of CD3epsilon expression (CD3epsilon(super -/-)). These studies set the stage for modeling E2a-PBX1-induced B-cell leukemia and shed a new light on the complexity pertaining to Hox gene regulation.

E4F1: A novel candidate factor for mediating BMI1 function in primitive hematopoietic cells

Article Abstract:

The identification of E4F1, an inhibitor of cellular proliferation is reported as a new BMI1-interacting partner in hematopoietic cells. This proves that Bmi1 and E4f1 genetically work together in hematopoietic compartment to control cellular proliferation and that E4F1 is the main modulator of BMI1activity in primitive hematopoietic cells.

Identification of a novel regulatory protein (CsrD) that targets that global regulatory RNAs CsrB and CsrC for degradation by RNase E

Article Abstract:

A protein (CsrD) that controls the degradation of CsrB/C RNAs is described. Analysis of the decay of CsrB RNA, both in vitro and in viro, suggested that CsrD is not a ribonuclease.
