Article Abstract:
A study was carried out wherein 4-10 alleles from each of ten Eurasian badger microsatellites in badgers and other mustelids for a total of 65 sequences were sequenced to determine the compliance of the sequences with stepwise mutation models. Results showed that many microsatellite mutation patterns were more complex than that represented by generalized stepwise mutation models.

Article Abstract:
An experiment was conducted to find out the number of loci, number of alleles, and gene action that control ower color especially blue versus white in pickerelweed. Results showed that white flowers were due to a recessive condition at the white flower locus hence white-flowered plants were true breeding for flower color.

Article Abstract:
A study on thick-billed murres (Uria Iomvia, Alcidae) demonstrated that mutations in males might cause overestimates of extrapair paternity when not considered. This mutation bias needs to be considered in the studies of paternity and to apply the probability of resemblance when ambiguous mismatches arise.
