Article Abstract:
High genetic identities are found between eucalypt species Eucalyptus kochii ssp. kochii, E. kochii ssp. plenissima and E. horistes, as seen from nuclear restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP). The three species are harvested for oil and it appears that esablishing a breeding program based on all population group would bring genetic imporovement relative to oil yield. Diversity in the taxa was high compared to other similarly studied species.

Article Abstract:
Nuclear restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) diversity in Eucalyptus nitens has been investigated using 40 antonymous RFLP loci. Information on the probes came from the genetic linkage map of the species. The diversity in the nuclear genome was high compared with other species for which RFLP surveys have been done. Population similarities based on RFLP analysis of the nuclear genome did not agree with those based on the chloroplast genome.

Article Abstract:
Study using RFLP of genetic differentiation between tree and mallee forms in the Eucalyptus loxophleba complex is discussed. The diversity in the taxa was high and similar to that seen in other eucalypt species. The analysis did not support calling E. gratiae a separate species
