Article Abstract:
Two studies demonstrate the influence of a Wnt pathway to Caenorhabditis elegans' embryogenesis. In contrast with previous signaling studies, they also indicate that the function of different Wnt pathway elements vary according to developmental processes. Further efforts, including the eventual cloning of mom-3 and mom-4, are expected to lead to the discovery of new Wnt signal transduction pathway components.

Article Abstract:
Wnts can affect the structure of presynaptic mossy fiber axons and growth cones in vitro, but further research is necessary to determine whether they remodel axons and growth cones in vivo. Wnts are signaling molecules secreted by postsynaptic cerebellar granule cells.
