Article Abstract:
Several new genetic tools are developed in order to facilitate routine genetic manipulations of wild-type strains of Burkholderia pseudomallei. The deletion mutation is complemented by a chromosomally integrated mini-T7 element carrying the amrAB-oprA operon and these new tools have allowed the select-agent-compliant genetic manipulations of Burkholderia pseudomallei and other Burkholderia species.

Article Abstract:
The isolation, sequencing and characterization of the cryptic plasmid pRE8424 from Rhodococcus erythropolis DSM8424 and the replication via a rolling-circle-type mechanism are reported. The coexpression experiments with the compatible expression vectors indicated that the plasmids are suitable for the simultaneous expression of multiple recombinant proteins.

Article Abstract:
The function of each of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol gene sequences in the tcpRXBCYD cluster is investigated from C. necator JMP134(pJP4). These gene cluster encodes all of the functions required for transformation of 2,4,6-TCP to beta-ketoadipate and that tcpR is the regulatory gene controlling tcp gene expression.
