Genetic structure and relationships in the snail species complex Littorina arcana Hannaford Ellis, L. compressa Jeffreys and L. saxatilis (Olivi) in the British Isles using SSCPs of cytochrome-b fragments
Article Abstract:
Genetic structure and relationships in the intertidal snail species complex Littorina arcana Hannaford Ellis, L. compressa Jeffreys and L. saxatilis (Olivi) have been studied from samples from six locations the British Isles. Single-strand conformational polymorphisms (SSCPs) of cytochrome-b fragments were used. It appears that Pleistocene sea level changes explain the congruent genetic patterns.

Understanding patterns of genetic diversity in the oak gallwasp Biorhiza pallida: demographic history or a Wolbachia selective sweep?
Article Abstract:
Biorhiza pallida, the oak gallwasp, and its genetic diversity in eight European countries have been studied with an eye to whether demographic history or a Wolbachia selective sweep is in effect. Differing demographic histories are the most likely explanation for concordant patterns for nuclear and mitochondrial markers.

Shell shape of the land snail Cornu aspersum in North Africa: unexpected evidence of a phylogeographical splitting
Article Abstract:
The authors have investigated land snail Cornu aspersum in North Africa. The authors describe the use of molecular and anatomical characters in differentiating populations of these snails, and they report that the characters show patterns of correlation with geography.
