Genetic diversity of Listeria monocytogenes strains from a high-prevalence dairy farm

Article Abstract:

An investigation of bovine listeriosis that occurred on a Pacific Northwest dairy farm on genetic diversity strains of Listeria monocytogenes was conducted. The results revealed that the clinical strain was closely related to fecal strains asymptomatic rows and that the farm environment was heavily contaminated with a diversity of Listeria monocytogenes strains.

Using DNA microarrays to identify library-independent markers for bacterial source tracking

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted by using mixed genome Enterococcus microarrays to identify library-independent markers. Based on microarray hybridization data, the prevalence of host-specific markers ranged from 2 percent to 45 percent of isolates collected from their respective hosts.

Variation in biofilm formation among strains of Listeria monocytogenes

Article Abstract:

Eight L. monocytogenes strains are assayed for biofilm formation by using a microtitier plate essay. The conclusion states that biofilm formation correlated with phylogenetic division, but not serotype.
