Article Abstract:
Multilocus sequence typing (MLST) was used to investigate the genetic diversity of Campilobacter jejuni isolates from farm animals and their environment. The data demonstrates that MLST and the clonal complex model can be used to identify and compare the genotypes of C. jejuni isolates from farm animals and the environment with those from retail food and human disease.

Article Abstract:
The genetic diversity of freshwater Cyanophage along with its variations was investigated in the waters of a natural lake in France. Results show that Nucleotide sequence analysis could be categorized in seven distinct operational taxonomic units (OTUs) and the distance between the OTUs could be compared to those reported in marine clusters.

Article Abstract:
The haloarchaeal diversity of an Australian saltern crystallizer pond was examined by analysis of a library of PCR-amplified 16S rRNA genes and by parallel cultivation-dependent methods. The two major differences between the organisms detected in cultivation and 16S rRNA sequences results are described.
