Article Abstract:
A study describes the capacity for floral phenotype to respond to selection through a review of published data on heritabilities and genetic correlations for several classes of floral traits in hermaphroditic plants. Among the findings is a significant heritability for all floral traits, with variation among them, as well as a tendency for heritability to vary with mating system, but not life history.

Article Abstract:
The phenotypic patterns and underlying quantitative genetics of development of sexual size dimorphism in red junglefowl is discussed. Despite striking sexual dimorphism in size and growth trajectories, size dimorphic traits in junglefowls show that a few exceptions genetic integration between the sexes, among ages and between traits.

Article Abstract:
The use of candidate gene approach in the study of the development and evolution of a major morphological structure, beetle 'horns', is discussed. The insight obtained from the study is used to suggest a solution to the long-standing mystery of scarabs.
