Article Abstract:
The article describes the newly developed set of genes, associated with the cytoskeleton of actin, a key protein used in a large number of cellular functions, including the protein biosynthesis and gene description in a human body. The findings reveal that there exists a functional link between the different actin fractions, which are normally controlled by the changes in actin dynamics.

Article Abstract:
A proposal that the concept of the eukaryotic cell-cycle checkpoint is being overused, and needs a meticulous and rigorous re-examination, is presented. It is concluded that most of the use of the term 'checkpoint' applies to eukaryotic systems that do not clearly have checkpoint properties, where processes are 'checked' before allowing subsequent processes to proceed.

Article Abstract:
The early evolution of meiosis, with its capacity for generating new favorable gene combinations, might have served to offset any of the competitive disadvantages. It is shown that meiosis and sex could have arisen in an asexually reproducing species and formed a clonal population.
